Sunday's NYT: The Drive-by Edition
It feels like some promising international news is getting submerged beneath the Wall Street crisis and Palin/McCain extravaganza. To wit: South African president and AIDS disbeliever Thabo Mbeki has agreed to step down under pressure from his party.
Also bad news like truck bombings and Hurricane Ike.
Of course just about everything else has an economic slant to it, including how the Depression Era generation got bit of an unwelcome trip back in time last week.
This is a nice story, but is it really necessary to tell New Yorkers that New Yorkers are helpful?
In case you haven't heard this line yet, the new financial capital of this country is Washington DC.
Another tribute to the "voice in your head."
