lvhrd_vending_machine.jpg

Bizarre contest, courtesy of the satirical newspaper, esteemed art museum and LVHRD, a magazine and rag-tag group of pranksters who refuse to use vowels: VMC II, the “world’s only competitive eating vending machine event” — the second annual contest to “consume the entire contents (minus packaging) of a standard vending machine” — was slated to pit the Onion against the New York Post — but the Post (smartly) failed to recruit a team in time. So amNewYork is now set to take on the Onion‘s in tonight’s duel.

In case you were wondering:

Upon the referee’s signal the competitors will be given a stockpile of dollar bills and change, and begin feeding currency into their machines while carefully selecting their eating approach. The first team to successfully eat the the entire contents of the vending machine will be declared the winner.

Time: 8:00PM. Location, as is LVHRD’s mysterious ways, is TBD.
