Outside Goes Greener, Removes Subscription Insert Cards

outside021508.jpgEveryone has opinions about subscription insert cards. Some positive. Some negative. Some mildly amusing. What’s not debatable, however, is the fact that they waste a lot of paper. And in an era of magazine greening, what better way to make a statement than by getting rid of them?

Outside has answered the call. Starting with its March “Green” issue, the mag will remove inserts from all subscription copies. According to a release, “Outside will eliminate the printing of 20 million subscription cards this year alone. This step will save an estimated 1,500 trees.”
