This is pretty meta. For the summer season premiere of Where Are They Now?, OWN profiled the promo-voice of the network.
Daniel Bernard Sweeney, a.k.a. D.B. Sweeney, was born in the Shoreham village district of Long Island on November 14, 1961. In the segment teaser clip, the veteran actor explains one of the tricks he used to get rid of that LI accent.
The former star of films such as Eight Men Out and The Cutting Edge has moved on to directing as well. Other voice-over clients have included the NFL Network, Discovery and the National Geographic Channel.
