Yup. It's Christmas party season. It's official.

Fashion Week Daily is much more masochistic than us and has put together a failry extensive list of Media Holiday Parties. Pick of the litter?

Portfolio's December 11 event at Runway on 40th & Sixth.

The New Yorker's celebrating on an undisclosed date (to prevent "psycho stalkers") at Flatiron BBQ spot Hill Country. Music will be by rockabilly band The Defibulators, whose ambulance/tour van seems to be perpetually parked under the Brooklyn Bridge.

Details is celebrating with the Dan Peres posse at the Bowery Bar on December 12.

Self is gonna party like they're in the Midwest with a celebration at the Chelsea Piers bowling alley on December 12 as well.

New York is celebrating on December 13 at SoHo's Cub Room.

Lucky's going to be the first party ever for the new uptown Pop Burger on December 11.

...And, reportedly, neither Time Inc. nor the New York Times are throwing official holiday parties. However, an "Ambassador's Party" for NYT advertisers was given last night at Tenjune. So the employees don't get a party, but the advertisers do? Lame.

Meanwhile, Peter Kafka is commenting on the scaled back 2007 Gawker holiday party over at the SAI.
