According to horrible rumors that better not end up being true or we’ll do something crazy like type run-on sentences, Pat Kiernan is going to lose out on his dream job of co-hosting Live!, alongside Kelly Ripa. ShowBiz411 reports that some guy named Seth Meyers “is still the leading candidate” to take the spot when the show returns September 4.

Kiernan has co-hosted Live a few times and — in our unbiased opinion — has been fantastic. So if Meyers gets the job, we’ll be disappointed.

But hopefully Kiernan knows that no matter what, New York loves him. And if the people behind Live! can’t see how great he is then they can all just go to hell and burn or whatever it is people do there.
