Just in time for the 33rd season of the post-Tina Fey SNL, TVGuide Online reported over the weekend that Maya Rudolph has been re-signed. As recently as July, SNL Executive Producer Lorne Michaels had announced that Rudolph was undecided about returning for another season of New York's iconic Not-Yet-Ready-For-Prime-Time comedy troupe. From the NYPost:

''Known for portraying Oprah Winfrey, Donatella Versace and Paris Hilton, Rudolph had been seeking a substantial raise.

''But 'SNL' has been under a lot of pressure from NBC in recent years to cut its budget. The show has even been working with a smaller cast than in the past.''

The SNL season premiere is this Saturday night starring LeBron James and musical guest Kanye West.
