Prevention Hires Jenny Klintberg Murphy as Senior Account Manager

Rodale‘s Prevention, a magazine about health and wellness, today announced that it has appointed Jenny Klintberg Murphy to the position of senior account manager.

Murphy comes from financial-news site TheStreet.com (Disclosure: Your editor used to work at TheStreet), where she was senior account executive for advertising sales. Before joining TheStreet, Murphy worked as account executive at SmartMoney and SmartMoney.com.

New York, NY — August 10, 2010 — Prevention SVP/ Publisher Mary Murcko announced today the appointment of Jenny Klintberg Murphy to Senior Account Manager.

Most recently, Murphy was Senior Account Executive, Advertising Sales at leading financial publisher TheStreet, where she managed advertisers including American Express, Pfizer and Delta. Prior to that, Murphy was Account Executive at SmartMoney and SmartMoney.com where she tripled new business including non-endemic advertising revenue from such clients as Marriott and AT&T. Murphy started her career at Shopping.com and was part of the team that helped take the company public before its acquisition by eBay.

Murphy holds a B.A. in Sociology and Anthropology from Middlebury College and is a certified health coach of the Institute of Integrative Nutrition; she sits on the Board of Directors for 212, New York’s Interactive Advertising Club.
