Rachel Sklar, Arianna Huffington Are Just Fine Thanks

252399980_6d36a1bffc_s.jpgYesterday night, a column written by Rachel Sklar intended for The Huffington Post‘s Eat the Press blog appeared on Romenesko with the following disclaimer:

This post was originally written for “Eat The Press’ at the Huffington Post, but it was determined that the post was not “congruent with HuffPost’s editorial position against the media’s penchant for viewing everything through a left/right prism” (see here). With respect, I disagreed, and together we decided that the piece would be best placed elsewhere. Thanks to Jim for that opportunity.

Could there be trouble in Greeceparadise? Hardly. Sklar declined comment, but Mario Ruiz, HuffPo’s VP of media relations, emailed us the following: “Editorial decisions are a regular part of the process. This wasn’t for us; we had no problem with Rachel posting it elsewhere.” Well, that’s no fun.
