Domino couldn’t survive, but perhaps that’s because it was targeting the wrong group of homemakers. Reader’s Digest Association apparently thinks so. Mary Berner‘s company is launching Fresh Home, a new magazine targeting the DIY home improvement set.
According to a release, 73 percent of home projects in 2008 were undertaken by the people living in the property (and all without Tool Time!) It’s clearly a magazine for these tough times.
“Never before has there been a home improvement magazine that is so in tune with the consumer living in today’s economy,” Alyce Alston, President of RDA’s Home & Garden and Health & Wellness affinities, said in a statement. “Fresh Home not only provides design inspiration, but also practical ways to upgrade your home using fun and easy methods.”
