WNYW anchor Greg Kelly remained MIA from his Good Day New York anchor post today. He’s accused of raping a 30-year-old woman who reportedly works for a law firm in the Wall Street area. Kelly has an apartment in nearby Battery Park City.

The Daily News, citing sources, says Kelly, the son of NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly, has “flirtatious” text messages from the woman, indicating that their encounter was consensual and for a “sexual purpose.”  The woman and Kelly, according to multiple reports, met for drinks October 8 at the South Street Seaport. The duo continued at the woman’s office, the Daily News has learned, because her boyfriend was home.

According WABC/Channel 7, the woman’s much older boyfriend allegedly was jealous after noticing messages between her and Kelly.

The New York Post reports the woman got pregnant from their drunken rendezvous and subsequently had an abortion.

Kelly, who served in the Marines for a dozen years, vehemently denied the rape claim through his lawyer. Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance’s office is investigating the matter.
