Rupert Murdoch Tweets His Way to The Top

Well, we were wrong. We thought that Rupert Murdoch was a boring Twitter user, but according to Reuters, he’s the third most influential executive on the Internet. The most influential is Pete Cashmore, the CEO of Mashable. Oprah takes second place. Murdoch started using Twitter just before the New Year, so a top three spot is impressive.

The rankings are assembled using data from Klout, a service that uses an algorithm to measure how influential someone is on their social networks.

So yeah, we were wrong. For some reason, people love them some Murdoch tweets. But people also love the revamped “Hawaii Five-O,” (Cops in Hawaii! Islands are weird!) so we’ll take this miscalculation with a pound of salt.
