San Diego Magazine Joins the Layoff World
On Friday, San Diego Magazine laid off a top editor and designer in the latest sign of the times.
Executive editor Ron Donoho and art director Laurie Miller were both let go, in addition to four members of the company’s custom news division that produces Exquisite Weddings.
The layoffs, which came as a surprise to staffers who had been led to believe the company would cut back in other areas, happened less than a month after president Jim Fitzpatrick left. Publisher Maureen Sullivan is now filling both roles.
