Senate Finally Gets Around to Condemning Forbes Editor’s Murder, Russia Refuses To Accept U.S. Help

Better late than never, perhaps.

Media advocacy groups have kept up the drumbeat for the last two years to compel Russia to investigate further into the circumstances surrounding the murder of Paul Klebnikov the editor of the Russian edition of Forbes magazine. Two men were charged earlier this year with the crime but were found not guilty by a Russian jury.

This week the U.S. Senate adopted a resolution condemning Klebnikov’s killing and urging Russia to accept help in the investigation. Russia, however, is apparently uninterested.
