She’s Irresistible, You Fool

Poor MoDo! She seemed so forlorn in yesterday’s Observer, lamenting the loss of her prime Sunday Times real estate (“It’s been a tough transition,” she says. Aw).

Take heart, MoDo – we’re sticking with you, even if we have to work really hard to follow your train of thought (Koppel/Olsens/Sinatra/Ratzinger/DeLay/Frist/60 Minutes/everyone).

Mickey Kaus at Slate wants you to write a book. NYT editorial page editor Gail Collins has the utmost confidence in you. And your column yesterday ascended to #2 on the Most-Emailed List (aka MEL), hanging on until mid-this morning when the lure of high-priced denim became too great (knocking even a certain Gina Kolata out of the top spot).

But MEL is fickle, fleeting; MoDo-love is not. Plus, she doesn’t care if we get an abortion. So don’t worry about us, MoDo. We’ll see you Saturday.
