Slick Rick Rally Postponed ‘In Order To Enhance Current Legal Strategy’

slick_rick_adventures_sm.jpgLast week, we told you about about the Russell Simmons-backed rally planned this week in lower Manhattan for Bronx rapper Slick Rick, who is once again facing deportation to England. We dispatched a “Fishtern” to cover, and returned from Arizona yesterday anxiously awaiting her report, only to learn it had been postponed “in order to enhance the current legal strategy” for the rapper.

In other words, “we didn’t want a public rally to piss off the judge, or Rick to say anything that could blow his case.”

Slick move, we’d say.
