We got our hands on a copy of the upcoming August issue of Spin — the first since Andy Pemberton‘s exit — featuring Radiohead’s Thom Yorke, and, without an editor’s note, executive editor Doug Brod is at the top of the masthead.
The issue does seem to get back some semblance of actual music coverage — albeit interspersed with things like a semi-earnest “College Guide” — and some 60 CD reviews, a Pemberton staple from his Blender tenure.
And while Spin isn’t the only magazine to fall victim to the “Exclusive!” trap, they do here, slapping the tag on its interview with Yorke. Funny, we just read one.
