Strike Watch: Seth Meyers Has WGA Picket ”Perfect Attendance Record”
As temperatures in NYC hovered about the 40s, the WGA East strikers picketed at Sony Plaza on Madison Avenue between 55 & 56 Streets. Sherry Goldman the WGA East spokeperson emailed FishbowlNY:
”On a very rainy and cold day, we still had almost 200 writers turn out to picket — Among the notables (non-writers) who showed up were Julianna Margolies, Chris Elliott, Gilbert Gotfried, Robert Klein and Paul Haggis … Seth Meyers continued his ‘perfect attendance record’ on the picket line – he’s great. As did most of the late night writing staffs of Late Night with David Letterman, Late Night with Conan O’Brien, the Daily Show with Jon Stewart and the Colbert Report.”
