Image: Writers Guild of Great Britain in front of the Trades Union Congress in London Tina Fey, Artie Lang, Law and Order's Linus Roache, Chris Meloni, Nora Ephron, SNL head writer Seth "Mr. Perfect Strike Attendance Record" Meyers, Chris Elliott and Terry Kinney joined WGA picketers at the Time Warner Center yesterday. Yesterday's picketing was part of the International Day of Solidarity, declared by The International Affiliation of Writers Guilds. The International Affiliation of Writers Guilds issued the call for solidarity at its November 15 meeting in Montreal. Solidarity rallies took place in London, Paris, Montreal, Toronto, Sidney, Dublin, Amsterdam, Mexico and in Berlin at the Brandenberg Gate. According to The Globe and Mail, members of the Writers Guild of Canada expressed solidarity with their American compatriots by chanting "Now they say that they won't pay, colder here than in L.A.!" and "Hey hey, ho ho, corporate greed has got to go; hey hey, ho ho, hope it doesn't snow!" in Toronto and Montreal. Says the BBC: ''Scores of writers rallied outside the Trades Union Congress building, holding red and black placards reading: 'We support the Writers Guild of America.'''
