Connecticut Alt-Weeklies Consolidate

CTNowLogoTomorrow, inside The Hartford Courant and at all regular pick-up spots, residents of Hartford, New Haven and Fairfield County will be greeted by a different newspaper animal. Instead of the respective Advocate and Weekly papers in those three communities, there will be stacked the launch issue of CTNow, which combines all three previous papers into one.

From the recent advisory note by group managing editor John Adamian:

Just as you’ve leaned on the Advocates over the years, we’re confident CTNow will still be the place you go to find out what live shows to go catch, what restaurants to check out, what art openings to get to and which theater events not to miss…
