Bruce Hallett Named Playbill Publisher

Bruce Hallett, the former Time Inc. veteran, has been named publisher of Playbill. The New York Times reports that Hallett will take publisher duties from Phillip Birsh, who will remain Playbill’s president and CEO.

During his 25 years with Time Inc., Hallett served as president of Sports Illustrated and Time. He departed the company in 2004.

Birsh told the Times that he reached out to Hallett because “the company was growing so quickly and so nicely and in so many areas.”
