The GOP 2.0: Just as Ridiculous as the GOP 1.0 but Less Effective

Maybe the GOP strategy is if you can’t beat’em at least make yourself look as foolish as possible while trying. Actually, we have no idea what the GOP intentions are when it comes to their online attempts at humor(?). Nor are we entirely convinced John McCain is going to lose, but we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it. Anyway, today’s installment of GOP 2.0 comes to us via Daily Intel and is a fake Facebook-like page called BarackBook.com.
Not surprisingly Barack Obama is the star member of BarackBook. The homepage of the site features the Senator’s “friendfeed” (i.e., Tony Rezko, William Ayers, Marilyn Katz) which each link to, as you might imagine, not so friendly profiles. And then there’s the video page, which includes things like “Obama Trading in Contradictions.” You get the picture. In case you’re wondering, “Barack is hoping to settle on an Iraq policy before November.” We knew things would get crazy once McCain discovered The Google. Stay tuned, maybe next week the GOP will figure out that thing called Twitter.
