The Writer’s Guild Strike In The Hour of The Wolf

What does the Writer’s Guild Strike mean to the scribe tribers in the greater FishbowlNY community? Could The Colbert Report, The Daily Show, Late Night with David Letterman and SNL — all New York mainstays — be forced to air repeats as early as next week? Hasn’t Colbert had a rough enough week as it is? Lynette Rice of EW’s Hollywood Insider blog speculates that the Writer’s Guild will be looking to get recognizable faces — Tina Fey? — waiving placards on the picket line. From Newsday’s TV Zone Blog:

”There are 4,000 members of the Writers Guild East — 2,500 who are affected by the stoppage. Many, in fact most, of them in New York, and there are plenty of shows that will grind to a stop: ‘Law & Order’…’Gossip Girl’…’30 Rock’…’Madmen’…These are just some of the New York-based shows affected. There are a total of thirty.”
