Time and Foursquare Partner for 2012 Political Conventions

Since everyone is eagerly awaiting this year’s 2012 political conventions, publications are looking for fresh ways to engage readers.

During the conventions, attendees who follow Time on Foursquare will be able to unlock badges that will give them access to a curated list of suggested venues and events, in addition to tips from Time’s political reporting team.

Time.com will broadcast updates from newsmakers and well-known figures as they check-in on Foursquare and provide a visualization of convention activity for those of us who won’t be attending.

In the past, Time has used Foursquare to attach magazine covers to historical locations around the U.S. and will use the platform to report from SXSW this year.
