November was a great month for Barack Obama and, apparently, Time. The magazine’s website broke a traffic record during the month, as it was visited by the most unique visitors ever. According to Time, Time.com captured 28.9 million unique visits in November, a 39 percent jump from 2011.

Time credits the revamping of its site in October with the increase in traffic. Of course there was that little story of the election too, but incorporating responsive design — which makes all of Time’s digital platforms look the same — surely helped.

In fact, Time.com wasn’t just visited via laptops or desktops; one in four uniques during November came through a smartphone or tablet.
