Time Inc. Layoffs: Senior Managers Included
Looks like some rather senior folks got the axe today at Time Inc. Among them were consumer marketing directors John Reese (Time) and Josh Orenstein (Money and the Fortune group). A notch higher was John Brown, a VP of the women’s lifestyle group (mags like Real Simple and InStyle).
We’re told, too, that those laid off were gathered in a room and told of the layoffs. We’re hunting for details. (fishbowlny AT mediabistro DOT com if you have any.)
UPDATE: We’re now told John Brown was “reassigned,” apparently to a consulting gig with Time Inc. Interactive. Hank Fifield, CMD of This Old House, was let go.
