UPDATE: New York Observer Politics Editor Katharine Jose Leaves for McGeveran and Benson’s ‘Capital’
Katharine Jose, senior editor at the New York Observer‘s politics desk, has confirmed with FishbowlNY that she is leaving the paper.
Jose tells us she’s going off to work for former Observer executive editor Josh Benson and former managing editor/interim editor Tom McGeveran on their new Web project, Capital.
The flight path from the Observer to Capital is becoming increasingly well established. Beyond the obvious cases of McGeveran and Benson, Gillian Reagan, who worked with McGeveran and Benson, also joined Capital following a stint as media editor at The Business Insider.
