WABC/Channel 7 Joining Forces with ESPN for Morning Sports
ESPN and WABC/Channel 7, properties of the Walt Disney Corporation, are taking synergy to the next level. The Daily News reports WABC will outsource morning sports reports to ESPN.
That means, gone are the sportscasts by evening anchor Rob Powers that at times were outdated. Also, it means Powers doesn’t have to wait for late games to finish before recording the morning sportscasts.
Our sister site TVSpy has more on the deal, including comments from Channel 7 news director Kenny Plotnik.
On Saturday, FishbowlNY told you first that Bloomberg Radio/WBBR is now using ESPN anchors during morning drive.
