Will Leitch Leaves New York for Full-Time Gig at USA Today Site

Will Leitch, the founding editor of Deadspin, is leaving his spot at New York to write full-time for Sports On Earth, the sports site from USA Today. Leitch has been writing for the site since it debuted in July of 2012, but in a post on his personal blog, he writes that it’s time to change things up:

My columns up to this point have been mostly media columns, but this is a more expansive role: I’m basically gonna be writing about everything, traveling all over the place, serving as the face (or one of the faces, anyway) of the site. I will also be hosting a daily podcast and will occasionally contribute for MLB.com, and certain columns will also be running in USA Today. Basically: I’m gonna be all over the place there.

Leitch adds that he’ll still be contributing to New York, just not on a full-time basis. He had been with the magazine since 2008.
