WLTW/Lite FM Offers Another Holiday Treat for Listeners

WLTW/Lite FM is bringing more of  the Christmas season to loyal listeners. Since 2004, WLTW has been a full-time Christmas music format from Thanksgiving until after December 25. The traditionally number one station in the Arbition ratings, Lite has found even more of a niche. The 2009 Holiday book was 11.6 rating or an audience of more than 7 million.

So it’s little surprise that the Clear Channel owned Adult Contemporary would have such a vested interest in Christmas.

The station is teaming up with H&R Block, JetBlue Getaways, Clean Air NY, and Big Apple Circus to provide free skating next weekend at Trump Wollman Rink in Central Park.

Complimentary admission and skating rentals will be handed out to the first 1,000 guests on Saturday, December 10, and again on Sunday, December 11 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Lite personalities Delilah, Bob Bronson, Rich Kaminski, and Christine Nagy will be making appearances throughout the weekend. (No word on if they’ll be on skates!)

“During the holiday season, skating in Central Park at Trump Wollman Rink has become a tradition that everyone looks forward to every year,” says Joe Puglise, president and general manager, Clear Channel New York. “The weekend is always filled with fun memories and great music. We love sharing this festive moment with our listeners.”

The fun doesn’t stop with the skate around. Those in attendance will have a chance for various giveaways including a trip to Puerto Rico, a $100,000 Ultimate Tax Savings Sweepstakes, tickets to the Big Apple Circus, and a $50 MetroCard from Clear Air NY for pledging to reduce air pollution.

Visitors can also enter to win a family four-pack of cut-the-line passes that allows four guests immediate entry to the rink.

WLTW has more details available on their Website.
