Working For Nick Denton Is Like “Getting Hit In The Head By A Surfboard”
Buried at the bottom of a Portfolio recap of the NYC Tech Meet-Up was the following Sam Gustin-reported gem:
Perhaps the funniest moment of the session occurred when Gawker’s rep likened working for Nick Denton — who was in the room — to getting hit in the head with a surfboard, drawing guffaws from the crowd.
Emails to Denton seeking elaboration were not returned immediately.
In other tangentially related news, DC gossip blogger Big Head DC seems to be strangely fascinated with Nick Denton’s brother.
