Alex Wallace In Line For Nightly EP Job

Unconfirmed: Alex Wallace will be the next executive producer of NBC Nightly News, according to two tipsters.

Wallace was named vice president of NBC 14 months ago. She currently has “executive oversight” of Nightly News, along with NBC News Specials and (along with David Verdi) newsgathering.

One of the tipsters says “her only prior experience running a broadcast was Weekend Today.” But, he adds, “she is very popular with Jeff Zucker and Steve Capus…”
