An ‘Early Show’ Chair For Mika Brzezinski?

On Friday, TVNewser asked: 1) Who will replace John Roberts on Sunday’s CBS Evening News, and 2) Is Armen Keteyian moving to CBS News? This e-mailer’s scenario answers both questions:

“I’ve been doing some thinking on the John Roberts departure/Armen Keteyian recruitment at CBS: What if by losing Roberts, and moving Axelrod there, they then decide to split Sat. and Sun. between Thalia and Russ. This leaves Mika Brzezinski as the only other high-profile person without a major assignment. But … with Armen Keyteyian coming to CBS News from Sports, this leaves a big opening for a sideline/feature reporter. Who at CBS News would be qualified to fill that role? How about Hannah Storm, who is a miserable morning show host, but a great sportscaster? Perhaps Sean McManus shifts Storm back to CBS Sports to be lead correspondent/contributor, moves Keteyian into some kind of correspondent role, then fills Storm’s Early Show slot with Brzezinski. She’s been seen on the show more frequently, as a correspondent, has the right pep and news background for the job, and has worked her way up CBS’s ranks. Seems like a no-brainer to me … again, perhaps just one of many possiblities being floated around.”
