It’s been a week of railing against international news networks for Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez. Earlier this week he threatened to take legal action against CNN for “instigating” his murder. On Tuesday, CNN En Espanol aired a clip showing Chavez with the words “Who Killed Him?” underneath. It was apparently a production error.
And during a rally Friday, Chavez warned CNN, and others, to watch what they report. This quote is taken from a CNN.com story:
“If any international channel comes here to take part in an operation from the imperialist against Venezuela, your reporters will be thrown out of the country, they will not be able to work here,” Chavez said. “People at CNN, listen carefully: This is just a warning.”
