CNN Heroes Day This Thursday

This Thursday, beginning at 1pmET and continuing each hour through 10pmET, CNN’s Anderson Cooper will announce the Top 10 CNN Heroes of 2009 on all of the CNN networks.

At the top of each hour, Cooper will reveal the name of a Top 10 Hero and highlight their work. Then at 11pmET a one-hour special
called “Change the World, You Vote” will profile the Top 10 and their causes. Voting also begins at 11pmET.

All Top 10 CNN Heroes will be honored at a gala at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood in November with the special airing Thanksgiving night at 9pmET/PT. The Top 10 will each be awarded $25,000, and the “CNN Hero of the Year” will receive an additional $100,000.
