CNN’s Kagan: News Biz Is Lacking “Spirituality;” Most People Want Good News

Following up on the news of Daryn Kagan‘s September departure from CNN: She hopes her new Web site, DarynKagan.com, will become “an inspirational online community,” the LAT reports.

“My real vision is that it’s going to be a community,” she said. “I think there is a hunger for people to belong to something like this.”

> Also: “I think there is a void in the straight news business now, (which is) lacking a certain spirituality,” Kagan told the AP. “I think most people live in a space where they are looking for meaning in life and good in the world and that is not necessarily reflected in straight news coverage right now.”
