Cooper Picks Up Genesis Award

Anderson Cooper was honored last weekend at the 22nd Genesis Awards, presented by The Humane Society of the United States. Cooper flew out to Beverly Hills to received the award.

Cooper won Outstanding TV Documentary for CNN’s Planet in Peril. He also shared some of the 60 Minutes win for Outstanding National TV Newsmagazine award, for his report on mountain gorillas, among other stories.

Besides CNN’s Cooper, CBS picked up a few awards, with their 60 Minutes victory, Katie Couric for National News Feature and CBS Sunday Morning for Best Morning Show.

Hayden Panettiere from NBC’s Heroes and chef Wolfgang Puck were also honored.
