NBC News “Meet the Press” moderator David Gregory has signed a new deal with network, according to the Associated Press. Gregory, who has been with NBC News since 1995, succeeded the late Tim Russert as moderator of “Meet the press” in 2008.
NBC News shared no details, but described the new deal as “a long-term commitment.”
“What a great vote of confidence from NBC,” a pleased-looking Gregory said Thursday. He said his first four years in the moderator’s chair have passed quickly.
An NBC source says that “Meet the Press’ EP Betsy Fischer Martin is likely to extend her deal with the network too in the coming weeks.
