Get ready to see Phoenix Mercury star Diana Taurasi as you have never seen her before.
Taurasi appears nude on the cover of ESPN The Magazine, which hits newsstands on Friday.
She’s one of five cover models for their Body Issue, including New York Knicks forward Amar’e Stoudemire, United States goalkeeper Tim Howard, the U.S Water Polo Women’s National Team, Dutch wheelchair tennis player Esther Vergeer and PGA Tour golfer Camilo Villegas.
“Doing the shoot was something new and I had fun with it,” Taurasi said. “For me, doing this was about facing the challenge and celebrating everything all of our bodies have been through and done. Cheryl, the photographer, was great to work with and hopefully, we came up with something interesting and maybe even inspiring.”
Taurasi is the first WNBA player to appear on the cover of ESPN’s Body Issue, which is only in its second year.
