Does The Today Show Know Who Jay-Z Is?

NotJayZ_6.26.bmpOn Wednesday’s Today show, correspondent Lee Cowan reported on Barack Obama making the cover of Rolling Stone. The piece references Obama’s musical tastes, which range from Stevie Wonder to Jay-Z. One problem, instead of showing a picture of Jay-Z, an image of rapper Joe Budden (left) showed up. The music playing was a Jay-Z song, however. And what’s more, there’s a minor feud (or dis, as the kids say) going on between Budden and Jay-Z.

> More from an insider: “…it was an editing snafu. The producer of the story is one of the best the Today Show has…it was immediately fixed for the west coast feeds.”

> More: Newsbusters has its own take on the Cowan piece…
