For “Trading Places” Series, Viewers Will Meet Parents Of NBC Anchors

NBC Nightly News begins a very personal week-long series tonight. “Trading Places: Caring for Your Parents” will examine the challenges as “many American families confront the responsibilities of raising children while at the same time face the challenges of caring for their elderly parents.”

Tonight, Brian Williams will report on “how an organization called ‘Visiting Angels’ helps care for his elderly father who recently underwent hip replacement surgery and now lives in an assisted living community.”

Update: 4:35pm: Tim Russert, Ann Curry, and Nancy Snyderman will also tell stories about their own parents. Tom Brokaw will report about “a typical American family juggling its responsibilities of having a three-year-old child at home, along with aging and infirm parents.” Details…
