GMA Without Gibson: ABC Announces Scholarship & Internship In His Honor

ABC News announced the creation of the Charles Gibson Good Morning America scholarship this morning.

“It’s going to be awarded to an undergraduate or graduate student who exemplifies Charlie’s commitment to the craft,” Diane Sawyer said.

Gibson was surprised by the announcement. “You got me, you got me,” he said as he wiped a tear away.

The program also includes an internship and a stipend at Good Morning America. “We’ll have a Charles Gibson with us in the morning,” Sawyer said…
