Golden Globes Now an NBC News Event

According to Nikki Finke‘s Deadline Hollywood, the Golden Globes broadcast on Sunday, January 13 will now fall under the NBC News umbrella. With the usual ceremony essentially canceled due to the WGA strike, different measures had to be taken this year to ensure actor participation.

Finke writes that at 7pmET, Dateline will air a special episode with clips and interview with the nominees. At 8pmET, a special retrospective/clip show is slated for broadcast. Then, at 9pmET, there will be a press conference covered by NBC News announcing the Golden Globe winners.

There is no word yet on which talent from Dateline and NBC News will be involved in the broadcast.
