Imus’ Radio Return: Scarborough & Sliwa Speak Out

With the impending return of Don Imus to the radio airwaves, (first reported yesterday on Drudge Report) the talker who replaced him, and the one who may be replaced, are talking. HuffPost‘s Rachel Sklar has the clip from Morning Joe.

Meanwhile, Curtis Sliwa (full disclosure, I produced his show on MSNBC a few years ago, yeah, you remember that one) who currently hosts a radio show on WABC is about to be unseated. In two appearances on MSNBC today Sliwa was on fire!

Holding up a printout of a bullseye target Sliwa said “what does this tell you, I got the target on me.”

“All of a sudden Don Imus gets a vacation, wins $20 million in a suit, and comes back to the #1 news/talk station in the nation WABC and may take my seat after I beat him five years in a row. He was on his way to retirement, drinking Geritol and taking Ben-Gay baths.”

So, Curtis, how do you really feel? Maybe MSNBC should give him his own show, again.
