Jackson Trial: Tricky Headline Choices

Gawker laughs at Drudge’s Jackson trial headline (“Sneddon wants Jacko penis photos,” in red) but says CBS sunk even lower with this headline: “Judge: Boy, Yes; Jackson Penis, No.” It was the LEAD headline on the CBSNews.com home page.

By 4pm, the CBSNews.com headline had changed to “Jury Won’t See Jackson’s Privates.” FOXNews.com and MSNBC.com are sticking with a safer titles: “Judge Bars Jackson Genitalia Photos,” with Fox substituting “Jacko.”
