Larry King Talking to Comedy Central About ‘Daily Show’ Contributor Gig

Former CNN 9 PM host Larry King has had preliminary discussions with Comedy Central to become a regular contributor to “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart,” a source at the network confirms to TVNewser.

King had at least one meeting with execs and producers when he was in town last week for the “Comedy Central Roast of Donald Trump.”

The news was first reported by The New York Post‘s Page Six.

King would serve as a regular contributor, appearing in occasional segments a la comedian Lewis Black.

Page Six adds some additional context:

Stewart was a staunch King supporter in his final days at CNN and even appeared on his final program. Stewart also told him, “You’re the last guy out of a burning building, my friend.” A Comedy Central rep told us, “We love Larry.”
