Matthews “Got Excited” & Cursed On Imus

Chris Matthews got excited and used the F word on MSNBC this morning.

At 7:45am, he said: “We love good mayors because we love our cities and Giuliani’s the city guy. I’m so sick of southern guys with ranches running this country. I want a guy to run for president who doesn’t have a fucking — I’m sorry — a ranch. Wouldn’t that be good, a guy who wasn’t on the ranch during Katrina, he was on the street corner answering questions [during 9/11].”

Imus asked his producers if they bleeped it. It was caught on the radio, but not on MSNBC.

“I think I got half the syllable in there, I think,” Matthews said.

Imus replied: “What were you swearing for?”

“I don’t know,” Matthews said sheepishly. “I got excited.”
