Olbermann Re-Ups: Flashback

Here’s a cool screen grab. It’s of Keith Olbermann anchoring the NBC Nightly News on April 12, 1998, Easter Sunday. He also anchored a month later on May 9.

The image is from NewsBusters, which says that “Olbermann’s arrival as the lone commentator at NBC Nightly News is the first overt commentator NBC’s hired since PBS omnipresence Bill Moyers in 1995.”

But NBC isn’t calling him a commentator; they’re saying he’ll “contribute occasional essays…”
