One Sponsor For ‘Nightly News:’ “We Think Last Night Was The Start Of Something Big”

NBC’s experiment with a one-sponsor Nightly News resulted in thousands of supportive e-mails. MSNBC.com has posted a sampling here.

At the end of Tuesday’s Nightly News, Brian Williams acknowledged the positive feedback:

“We did an experimental broadcast, with limited commercial interruption — just two short commercials and a lot more news,” he said. “We are still reading and counting the emails, thousands of them, all positive, and that tells us you like what you saw. There will be more, and we hope soon. We think last night was the start of something big.”
