Protecting The Border (Of Jersey)

dobbs_6-12.JPGCNN anchor Lou Dobbs is not running for President of the United States — but that doesn’t mean he won’t be running for political office.

The New Jersey Star-Ledger reports Dobbs, who lives in Sussex County, New Jersey, did not deny rumors about a possible run for Governor of the Garden State. “I’m just not going to comment,” he said.

The paper reports, “several well-connected Republicans,” have “heard the buzz” that Dobbs may run. Dobbs had been a registered Republican until he switched to Independent in 2006.

Apparently the head of the New Jersey Republicans isn’t buying the hype just yet. He tells the Star-Ledger if Dobbs is serious, he should register as a Republican first.
